Specialist Ear, Nose and Throat, Head and Neck Surgeon

 

Dr Boipelo Tselapedi-Sekeitto is a specialist registered as an Otorhinolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon commonly referred to as an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon. She is practicing at Mediclinic Sandton. She is passionate about all aspects of ENT. Through best practice medicine, experience and rigorous training, it has enabled her to develop a clinical and surgical proficiency within the discipline of ENT surgery. She provides a professional service while accommodating your individual needs.

After qualifying as a medical doctor her formative years were spent within various academic centres in Johannesburg prior commencing her specialist training. She trained as a specialist at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS). She  underwent further training at the University of Western Ontario, Canada completing a Clinical Fellowship in Rhinology (all things noses and sinuses), working alongside with Prof Brian Rotenberg and Prof Leigh Sowerby. She also underwent training and completed a fellowship in Rhinoplasty by Hossam Foda (Egypt). 

 

She has been and continues to be mentored by Dr Carl van Wyk, whose practice she has taken over. Dr Tselapedi-Sekeitto was also the Head of the ENT Department at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital.

Dr Tselapedi-Sekeitto is registered with the Health Professions Council Of South Africa (HPCSA), attends annual ENT congresses, and numerous advanced training courses within the speciality. Her affiliations are as follows; member of the South African Medical Association (SAMA), member of the South African ENT Society, Allergy Society of South Africa (ALLSA) and member of Society of Rhinoplasty Surgeons of South Africa (SORSSA).

Special interests/field of practice include General ENT, Rhinology & Base of Skull, Rhinoplasty, Snoring & Sleep Apnoea Surgery, Ear Surgery.
